Brainwavz Omega
The Brainwavz Omega is a new entry to the IEM segment and offers crisp audio. It offers decent, balanced audio, and uses 6mm driver units with frequency response of 20-20000 Hz, covering the entire audible spectrum. They are well within in the budget and are our choice if you are buying a headphone under Rs. 1,000.
1More Piston Fit
The 1More Piston Fit is fairly impressive for its price. It offers a strong low frequency performance, along with decent mids and clean highs. It may sound a tad shrill, but the audio balance is warm and enjoyable for volume levels up to 70 percent, which is loud enough for most listeners. It is also slightly less expensive than the best performer here, which makes it an even better value-for-money buy.
Sennheiser CX213
Sennheiser CX213 joins a long range of audio products offered by the German audio company. Built upon the very popular Sennheiser CX180, the CX213 offer better noise attenuation and wider frequency response over the CX180. They also have better bass performance.
JBL T100A
The JBL T100A offers deeper bass, and bigger soundstage. The build quality is good, and the fit of the headphone is quite snug. This one should please the bass heads, too.
Sony MDR-EX150
The Sony MDR-EX150 is one of the most affordable offerings from Sony. It offers good bass response, along with pleasantly warm audio and good clarity of audio. It is also one of the best built headphones in this price range.
Audio Technica ATH-CKL203
The Audio Technica ATH-CKL203 are lightweight and comfortable headphones that offer decent audio quality for its price. The audio from these budget pairs from Audio Technica are little on the brighter side and offer a good mid range, with slightly weaker bass output. It also comes with a cable wrap and four pair of tips for the perfect fit.
Sennheiser CX180
The Sennheiser CX180 has been one of the most reliable names in sub-1k in-ear headphones in India. It offers decent, clear audio with slight emphasis on bass.
Altec Lansing MZX147
The Altec Lansing MZX147 is a very good-sounding pair of headphones priced at Rs. 780. It offers excellent balance of audio, but disappoints in terms of its build quality. Everything taken into consideration, it is one of our recommended buys.
Evidson Audiowear R5
The Evidson Audiowear R5 is a genuinely impressive sub-Rs. 1,000 in-ear headphone. It delivers impressive audio, but ranks below the Brainwavz Omega and the Altec Lansing MZX147 owing to the compromised mids, slightly shrill highs and a lack in build quality.
